Shipping, Customs & Duties

Possibly. All Heat Dept. orders ship from Canada, and your shipment may be subject to customs duties, taxes, or import fees once the package reaches the US.

These charges are not included in your order and are your responsibility.

In some cases, your tracking information may show customs or duty fees that need to be paid before the package can be released. Certain carriers also provide a direct link to pay these fees online to avoid delays, including situations where the package may be held at your local post office or customs facility.

Shipments that go through the Canada/US border requires clearance by a Customs official who inspects packages, possibly request additional information, and/or assess duties before releasing it.

This process can extend delivery times, and Heat Dept. has no control over customs decisions or timelines.

If customs duties or import fees are not paid, your package may be returned to Heat Dept. or abandoned by the carrier. In these cases, shipping costs and customs fees are non‑refundable, and additional return charges may apply.

We recommend accepting the package and paying any required fees to avoid delays or loss of your order.

Please contact us right away if you prefer not to pay customs, and we attempt to reach the carrier to have the package returned.

No. Prices shown at checkout include the cost of the item and shipping only. Any taxes, duties, or import fees charged by the US customs agency are collected separately and must be paid by you upon delivery or during customs processing.
